One big problem I see in that link you posted is that the people working on "SGB emulation" have never seen an actual SGB and they think SGB emulation is just showing the borders and palettes for the SGB-enhanced games. You need to emulate BOTH the GB and the SNES to have the real functionality of the SGB. You cannot emulate the SGB device by loading the SGB bios on any Super NES emulator the very same way you cannot emulate the SGB by loading the bios on any Game Boy emulator. What we are asking here is emulation of the real device, which adds functionalities even to normal GB games, and has added music, sound and graphics to certain games, and so far BSNES is the only emulator to do so. The custom borders and palettes are already included in the game, so it doesn't need the SNES hardware to display. All that is "emulating" are the GB games that are already SGB enhanced, which every PC GB emulator has done for decades now. ![]()
